  • Institutions have up to one year following program approval to implement the aligned Surgical Technology program.
 
  • Institutions must submit changes reflecting the implementation of the aligned Surgical Technology program on the KSPSD system as a program modification

Includes instruction in pre operation patient and surgical team preparation, handling surgical instruments at tableside, supply inventory maintenance before and during operations, sterilization and cleaning of equipment, maintaining clean and sealed environments, operating room safety procedures, and record-keeping.
